Thailand Photobook

Ending my Bangkok series with a photobook–which in 3 weeks, I’ll have as a hard copy–like legit printed. Waaay excited for that! I keep it old school and have some my shots printed still on 5″x7″ and stick them in albums; and the idea of getting them on just one book per trip always called to me–but hassle maglayout pls. But finally snapped out of my katamaran and just pushed with this idea I’ve been thinking about for some months now. So I went ahead and did a layouting spree for two days in a row and compiled all my Bangkok photos. Published it on Issuu as well which you can check below.

Currently doing my HK trip from last year (which has way more photos), and now on the 55th page (LOL nagsawa na ko sa kakatingin sa face ko), then I have other trips lined up next. Wew. Keeping myself busy because having classes on just TThs is bumming me out.

Five Favorite Bloggers

a5 Favorite Bloggers

(Nagprapractice akong magdrawing ng 1×1. Chos.)
So this is what I’ve been watercoloring on my free time lately. Just wanted to share a few of my favorite blogs (and people) which are part of my life constants. These which I’m constantly refreshing by the day–hoping a new post comes up and I get a new read, even if just a recap of their day. So I’m putting my thoughts and these illustrations (though shitty as they are) out as a tribute to these bloggers. Maybe they’ll notice me. Hi, am a fan! I love you. LOL.

My week has been busy. Had a lot of things to catch up on (and not just TV shows this time), then also had a few wtf episodes (aka flat tire when I had to thesis in an expressway, wew timing wew, but thank god for batchmates ♥️), and generally just lifed. Like most nights for the past days, I am on Photoshop. I just got home after getting a quick haircut because my Merida hair is now worse than Merida’s. And trying to get through maybe 3/4 of my trip photos before the night ends.
Last year, part of my ‘What I’m Saving Up For’ is a photobook. I’m almost done layouting my 2nd one and I’ll have them printed by the end of the week (hopefully).
Also, I haven’t been posting art stuff because doing self projects instead. But there’s some I’ll be scanning tomorrow which I was working on last month but I forgot about it midway and just finished this morning. As usual.

#WRULou: La Union Photo Diary

Processed with VSCO with a6 preset

All I can say is “ang dami kong time” 😭😂
Started 2016 with a roadtrip to La Union, and for the first time, my whole family joined in on my New Year post-Christmas-fats trek. Exactly a year before, I climbed Mount Pinatubo; and it made me fall in love with the thrill of going up mountains. Maybe still not as much as the sea–but it’s almost there. So I’m hitting two birds with one stone this year by staycationing for the first week of January in La Union. And instead of crossing another mountain off the books, we did a short hike to Tangadan Falls. Read more to see my doodle and photo filled travel log.

Quick Update & Feelings & Other Stuff

By feelings and other stuff, I mean Cole Sprouse and Cole Sprouse.
I’m making up excuses on being able to share this well–everywhere. You might have gone through some of my old posts with a photo (or more) of Cole Sprouse in it because let’s just say I like like him. I liked him as Cody in the Suite Life of Zack & Cody (I liked Cody more than Zack!), and I liked him even more after the series–how he pursued his passion, why he and Dylan parted ways with Disney, and he is an amazing photographer, okay?

Long weekend! But I’m really on long weekend every weekend because I only have classes on Tuesdays and Thursdays, but yeah, long weekend! Sunday spent at home is ♥️. Aside from my room (where I could practically live as a hobbit in), I can lazily spend all day in our side porch. It’s my spot at home. (Also the single seater sofa chair adjacent the door going to the porch) It’s been a norm for me to direct myself here when I leave my room–for projects, studying, jump rope spot lol, or to waste time. Maybe because this certain spot at home just looks so hipster, I cannot think of any other reason. Haha. Ambiance is a must for productivity, yes? The wall opposite this photo is even a brick wall. 😂 I’ve locked myself out here from Saturday afternoon until now. I’ve been painting on a huge piece of cloth for a costume and I’m writing this as a “break”.

#WRULou: The Grand Palace, Bangkok

The Grand Palace

*drumrolls* *strut walks* *bows* Royalty for a day! A trip to Bangkok wouldn’t be complete without visiting the Grand Palace. You just have too! And then you’ve got to gram a pic (or two or 3, …) because that’s what a queen would do. So I’m going to write this post with Lorde’s Royals playing in the background and I like to believe that I’ve finally maybe seen a diamond in the flesh.

2016-02-05 02.52.57 2-side-down

Unlike real royalty though, no one’s going to be carrying you around in a throne touring you around the place. You’ve got to walk. A lot! And there’s hundreds of other people too inside, but in the very very (really very) few circumstances, I’m alright with the crowd. It’s too golden that it’s worth it. Also, it’s not free. Entrance fee is 500 Baht (≅670Php) and that includes a day pass to the Grand Palace and the Temple of the Emerald Buddha, and another ticket to the Vihanmek Mansion / Museum. They’re open from 8:30 in the morning until 3:30 pm. Click read more to view my photo diary.

Cat Stickers! + February Journal Update

Cat Stickers

Downloadables again!
I hate cats. Sorry. I’m a puppy person, and I feel like cats are more human than humans themselves and I don’t like it when they stare at me. They look through the deep evil parts of my soul, okay? Even so, I like drawing cats more than dogs and I don’t really know the reason as to why. So I finally made the time to edit the cat stickers I watercolored about two weeks ago, and I’ve stuck them unto the February calendar of my journal as you can see. Now I think my February spread is just purrfect! Definitely fits my Fuck Feelings February theme.

Click read more for the download link and so you could print them for yourself and your journal too.
